After graduating from Edinburgh Napier University Russell established a career promoting Scottish technology in the US and Asia primarily in the electronics and technology sectors. Firsts here included establishing a business in San Jose, California, successfully building a sales delivery network across Japan, Korea & China for Scottish designed technology and leading the first major Cloud based business from the UK.
More recently Russell has been involved in the turnaround and investment community prior to establishing Exolta Capital Partners with a unique group of experienced professionals who generate and implement strategies to drive growth in UK businesses. In addition he sits on the board of MBN Solutions and WeAreTheFuture and is Chairman of WeDO Scotland.
